BEST-Rigid Increasers & Reducers
Manufactured with 304 Stainless Steel:
NOTE:Our stainless steel Increaser/Reducers have a three piece, tapered design for maximum flow to your unit. It comes with 2 female ends, so you can crimp the end you need. The Female End (the end you leave non-crimped)should always accept the liner, so the gases, creosote, etc … flow down through the increaser/reducer and not on the outside of your increaser/reducer. REMEMBER: If you are using these with our Rigid Lining System, no coupler is necessary, however if you are using this with our BEST-Flex liner, you will need to order a standard Coupler to transition from the BEST-Flex Liner to the Increaser/Reducer.
(EX. CLU625 BEST-Flex LINER to a 6"-5" increaser reducer. The 6" liner slips into the larger end of the 6" Coupler. The bottom of the 6" Coupler will slip down into the top of the 6" end of the increaser/reducer.)

Quick Help

  • How do I know what size DIAMETER & LENGTH liner I need?
For Hot Water Heaters and Oil Furnaces the ideal diameter of the liner needed to vent your appliance is the size on your unit. For example, if it has a 6" opening where the pipe is to be inserted, that is the ideal size liner you need. However, the interior of your chimney (especially after insulating) may not have the adequate space. With the use of an increaser / reducer, according to the safety codes, you may be able to go up or down one size and your unit should still function appropriately. To measure the length you need, measure from the top of the chimney flue tile or crown, down to the thimble where the liner will come through your wall to hook up to your appliance.

For your Fireplace, you need to calculate the maximum size flue liner you can install. At the chimney crown, on your roof, you need to measure the inside diameter of your existing flue opening. Next, inside your home, measure the height and width of your fireplace opening. Refer to our Fireplace Sizing Chart to help you find the liner diameter size you need.

If you are relining for a Woodstove, Corn or Wood Pellet Stove you need to measure from the top of the chimney crown down to where you will hook-up the stove. For the diameter liner size, you will need to measure the inside dimension of the exhaust on your stove.

  • Do I need to replace the clay flue tiles before installing a TOP-Rigid Liner?
No, our liners are made to replace the clay flue tiles. They will protect your chimney better from heat loss or gain and reduce your chance of having a chimney fire. And with proper cleaning & maintenance you should never have to replace it again!

  • What do I use to attach the Rigid Liner together?
Our TOP-Rigid have male/female ends, so the bottom of each piece will slip into the top of the next rigid section. Then secure each section together with 316 rivets.

  • What if I have to stack or attach two tees together because I have 2 appliances to hook-up?
You will need to order two "OD" 2-Part Tees. The bottom of the first tee will slide right into the top of second tee.

  • Can I use a BEST "Top Kit" with Rigid Liner?
No, it will not support the rigid pipe. You will need a Top Plate, Top Support Clamp, Storm Collar and either a Rain Cap to attach to the rigid pipe or a Single Flue or Multi-Flue Cap to prevent rain/snow, critters, & more from entering your liner/chimney.
